The Survey

There are two parts to the survey:

1) Questionnaire about you - this is a short survey asking more questions about you. We ask questions about your skin type, hair colour and some short questions on your views to personal care. You can complete this at anytime during the seven day period. For more detailed information please see below

2) The Diary - this is a seven day diary to record all of the toiletries and cosmetics products that you use each day, from the moment you get up until you go to bed for the next seven days.

What is it?
The questionnaire has seven sections. These sections will ask you about:

1. How your hair looks
2. What you do to your hair
3. Your skin
4. Some of your washing habits
5. Odour and perspiration
6. Your teeth and mouth
7. Your attitudes to personal care

How long will it take?
This questionnaire will take up to 20 minutes to complete. You can complete this at anytime during the seven day period.

What’s it about
Each day we’d like you to start by telling us what you’ve been doing since the last time you logged on. We will provide an online diary with time slots for you to say what you’ve been doing since you last logged on or since you got up this morning.

For example, when you got up this morning you may have:

• Had a shower
• Washed your hair and
• Cleaned your teeth

You will then enter these items onto the online diary page. You will then be prompted to provide more information about each of these personal care occasions. So for example, when you had a shower, how long did it take? was it because you were going out? We will then ask you what products and brands you used and what the reasons were for using them and a few other simple questions.

How long will it take?
Initially the set-up of the diary will take approximately 20 minutes, but we estimate that it will takes an average of 10 minutes each day for seven days.

How often should I complete the diary?
We recommend that you should enter the information on a daily basis; this is because we ask you quite a lot of detail on all of the products you use each day and it is likely that it will be difficult to remember the detail from day to day.

How do I get started?
Go back to the ‘Home page’ and click on ‘Register’. You will then be asked a few questions so that we can start to get to know you and log your details for the survey. You will then be sent (via email) a login to MyPersonalRoutine.com and some instructions on how to get started. You will be asked if you would like to start your seven day online diary today or tomorrow.

Who are we providing data to?
We are providing reports to leading manufacturers and retailers who are involved in the toiletries and cosmetics market. This information helps them react to your needs as consumers.

What information do we provide?
We provide reports showing the trend of markets. Please be assured that no information at an individual level is provided within these reports. All information you provide us is consolidated to represent different age groups for example.
